Images will always look better if you make a few adjustments with an editing software. The problem is that most of these programs, especially advanced ones, are difficult to handle. Their interfaces can be too complicated and you may find yourself switching from one window to another, just to make a small correction. Visions Photo Editor lets you perform the same kind of actions, but much easier. It comes with many pre set effects, which can be applied over any image instantly.

The setup file is roughly 3 Mb large. When you run it, you only have to click a Next button and the software will be installed on your computer in a few seconds. A bothering aspect is the fact that it will also install a plugin for your web browser and it will change your default search engine, without asking you for permission.

An image can be loaded by dragging it over the interface with the mouse cursor. The software lets you apply numerous effects, fixes and adjustments, which can be found in other image editors as well. In Visions Photo Editor, they are all represented by icons, which are categorized in different sections, on the left side of the interface. An adjustment can be applied by clicking its icon once and you can make further settings, like changing sensitivities, resizing a radius, saturations and so on, with sliders, located beneath the icons.

You can see how the adjustments affect the image, in the preview area, on the right side of the interface. If you are satisfied with how it looks, you must click the Apply button, near the preview, to make the changes permanent. Otherwise, the adjustments will be canceled when you select another effect. The software can save the images in JPG, PNG, BMP, TIFF or GIF format, using various qualities. Besides saving your edited image, you may also share it via Flickr and 23 or send it to a friend by email. It is also possible to back up images, using a free Box.Net account.

Pros

Visions Photo Editor lets you apply various effects and filters, just by clicking a series of icons. Apart from the general settings panel, there are no other menus to access on different windows. Everything can be done on the same interface, with minimum effort. The software provides additional features, for sharing your work or backing it up.

Cons

It is not possible to load multiple images at the same time, which means that Visions Photo Editor does not support batch editing. Any adjustments you can make in other image processors can be done at least twice as fast with Visions Photo Editor. Comfort, ease of use and quality results are just a few of the provided features.
